Our purpose is three fold. We provide a fun, welcoming social refuge for any 18 and over gamer who tires of constantly hearing sexual orientation/gender-biased slurs while playing.

Secondly, we work within the gaming community to advocate fair representation of GLBT/friendly concerns, and to challenge (frequently unintentional) biased actions and statements from game corporations. Please see our media section for more info.

Lastly, and most importantly, we have fun. We're open to any gamer or "gaymer", regardless of skill level or sexual orientation, who enjoys gaming in a relaxed, welcoming, friendly, and often flirty, social environment.

In addition to frequent in game social events/raid etc., we sometimes socialize in the 'meatspace'. Rough Trade gamers live all over, so there is likely at least a few friendly gamers near you now. Fair warning-you may be dragged away from the computer for a drink once in a while at your local gay bar.
